James started his career at a multinational industrial electronics services provider in the UK. Starting as an apprentice and completing a UK accredited advanced modern apprenticeship in engineering, James progressed up to HNC level in electrical and electronic engineering.
James focused primarily on energy, automotive and manufacturing sectors during his time there.
James quickly gained expert knowledge in repair of electronic controls, on site machinery, CNC machines and retrofit of obsolete equipment with current ‘off the shelf’ items.
James' technical knowledge enabled him to progress to the position of supervisor where he managed time critical contracts and also helped to train and develop apprentices.
James decided that in order to develop further, he should move into the marine services sector, so joined a UK based marine electrical company in 2014. Duties included electrical repair of all types of vessel, systems engineering design, installation and commissioning, PLC and HMI solutions and planned maintenance. James gained extensive experience within the military, commercial and yachting sectors and was involved in a number of large contracts in various worldwide locations delivered on budget.
Away from work James lives with his partner Marie and they share two young children Anabelle and James.
